Literature Text
‘It is not the heart to twitch in my chest when I see you but the soul itself struggling to meet yours, sieged by an apocalypse of emotions.
Let to the old and tired lovers the placid tenderness of the romantic kisses; let's bite instead our lips, as hungry cannibals: I would suck your spirit, if it could merge with mine.
On the tree of life now it is not the sparrow I seek, but the sparrowhawk.
Under the tree behind the ruins of the monastery, I'll be waiting at dusk: if you have my same hunger, you'll be there’.
The letter was dated that same day so, being curious by nature, I reached for the place to spy for a moment the happy ending of the unripe and passionate writer, but I didn't find what I was expecting.
Two young girls were lying, embraced, under the willow; the bigoted sacristan stood next to them holding a bloody shovel: with the same shovel their graves were dug.
