the Name of the Rose

We finally engaged in that late November
and gently kissed, under the warm rain.
To ratify the pact and become mine
she asked me to give her a new name.
After thinking about it for a while  
browsing the trivial words
with whom poets offend
the wonders beneath this sky
I took a moment to remember
how the world was with her away.
Hence, felt the heartache, took a breath
I sadly whispered: "Your name is Pain!".
